Meet Ashley
Ashley Shelton, owner of Belle Mariee Artistry. Growing up in the Texas Hill Country, it is a dream to work in the most beautiful venues with the most wonderful people. After high school graduation she attended the Pal Mitchell Cosmetology Academy in Austin, Tx. After receiving her licesnse she gained experience in two of Austin top salons and began doing weddings, special events and fashion shows.
In 2008 she began working with Kevin Murphy, one the the WORLDS top session stylists. She worked directly with him learning his styling techniques from decades of top level experience. She has taught hundreds styling classes to date, to stylists in Texas, California, and beyond.
In 2009 she moved to Santa Barbara, CA and began session work exclusively and added makeup into the mix after working under one of MACs educators.
For two years based in Santa Barbara, Ashley spent the weekends with brides and their besties a the weekdays on set doing hair and makeup for film, tv, and print. After moving back to Texas she started Belle Mariee and cares deeply about making the day easy and beautiful. The photos last lifetimes and the memories are so so special. She has built a reputation of being professional, and creating hairstyles that can last for days :)
Ashley is a mother of 2, loves to bake and is always ready for a road trip in the beauty of it all.
Hair Care
We exclusively use Kevin Murphy products for the best results.
Ashley uses a plastic needle and thread over Bobbi pins for up styles. This allows the most secure hold without lots of pins. Easy to take down and the options are endless.

Makeup
We use water-based airbrush makeup for the best result for your wedding day and photography results. It offers sheer to total coverage and easy on the skin. We use individual cluster lashes with waterproof glue for the most natural and impactful result. We use a professional artist secret to seal the makeup in for the day and into the night.
